Teaching Beyond Borders
Support Missouri State University Educators in Guatemala
Help make global education accessible to all future teachers.
This Education Abroad program offers K–12 teacher candidates, current teachers, and education professionals an immersive experience in Spanish language and Guatemalan culture. Participants will engage in classroom observations, teaching opportunities in local elementary schools, and service-learning projects designed to deepen their understanding of diverse communities.
Through this experience, MSU undergraduate and graduate students will strengthen their cultural awareness and develop essential skills to support the growing population of multilingual learners in U.S. schools—now more than 10% of all school-aged children.
Your contribution will help remove financial barriers and make this transformative program more affordable for MSU students. Funds raised will support:
- Travel to and within Guatemala
- Tuition and program costs
- Cultural immersion and service-learning activities
By giving to this campaign, you help prepare educators to teach with cultural competence, lead a classroom ethically, and better engage with the community around them.
Make a gift today and help open the world to future educators.
