On January 20th, the Pride Marching band will represent the state of Missouri at the presidential inauguration in Washington D.C. In the past, the Pride Marching Band has performed at the Orange Bowl Parade, the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, the Tournament of Roses Parade, and at NFL games. This will be the first presidential inauguration performance in the band's history. 350 students and staff will travel to D.C. to represent Missouri State University.
We are asking for your support to cover travel expenses for our Band as they represent our state as the only band from Missouri to perform at the inauguration. The cost for the Band to travel to Washington D.C. approaches $300,000. Friends of the band, please contribute any amount to help offset this travel expense. It will cost roughly $800 per student to attend. Any help is appreciated.
The inauguration parade is scheduled to begin between 1:30 and 2 p.m. Eastern Time. All inaugural events will be streamed via Amazon.
Thank you in advance for your support, and Go Bears!
