Our Crowdfunding Groups
Winter Guard began at Missouri State (then SMSU) in 1987 with what is now the group called The Pride of Missouri State. In 1997, a second winter guard, National Avenue, was founded, and then in 2002 began the third Missouri State Winter Guard - 901 Performance Ensemble.
2024 is a milestone year for our Missouri State Winter Guards. It was 30 years ago this year that The Pride of Missouri State (then The Pride of SMSU) made finals at WGI World Championships. In 2004, 20 years ago, National Avenue made finals for the first time at WGI World Championships. In 2023, The Pride of Missouri State was the WGI World Championships Open Class Bronze Medalist which has promoted them to compete in World Class in the 2024 season.
To help our students in their fundraising efforts to attend winter guard competitions both regionally and nationally, we are asking for you help in their campaign to raise money for their travel expenses. Every dollar and each share helps them meet their goals. Thank you, in advance, for your help!

Those who donate $1,000 will receive 4 complimentary tickets to experience the Missouri State Winter Guards perform at the 2024 Mid-Continent Color Guard Association Championships on Saturday, April 6 at Willard High School. They will be invited to be our special guests the following day (Sunday, April 7) to watch one of our groups in rehearsal, which will be an opportunity to meet the cast of the group. Receive two Missouri State Winter Guards t-shirts, and a signed thank you note from the students.
